On our first day at BTG, we met Roman Villard, CPA, where he discussed Gen Z culture in the workplace. As we see lower numbers of accounting graduates and CPAs, Roman shares his insights on how to attract and retain the next generation of accountants.

He highlighted the need for flexibility, work-life balance, and opportunities for growth and development as key factors that appeal to the younger generation. By creating a work environment that aligns more with Gen Z values and priorities, companies can position themselves as attractive employers for the future workforce.

Automate, Eliminate, & Delegate with Nayo Carter-Gray

In another remarkable session, Nayo Carter-Gray, CEO of First-Step Accounting, taught us the ins and outs of automation and delegation. Nayo shared her expertise in building workflows, a topic the Levvy team is well-acquainted with!

As a next generation work management platform built to support accounting firms, the Levvy team enjoyed learning from experts about different ways to automate workflows and delegate tasks to teams.

Accounting Today Editor, Dan Hood, and Aprio Managing Partner & CEO, Richard Kopelman’s session spoke of the importance of having culture in an accounting firm.
